What platforms do you live stream video to?
We live stream to YouTube Live and Facebook Live. For YouTube streaming we can offer a private link which can be embedded to a web page so that your guests have a static page with a countdown timer that they can bookmark for the day of your event.
How many camera angles do you live stream?
We offer packages with 1, 2 or 3 camera angles.
Can your camera’s move around during the video live streaming?
All cameras are static and cannot move. The cameras can however pan left and right to follow people.
What video resolution do you live broadcast in?
We broadcast in either 1080 or 720 depending on your signal strength. For 4G or LTE coverage we can stream in 1080 and for 3G we can stream in 720.
Do you do site visits?
Yes we do. A site visit is included in your quote. You can opt out for it, however we do recommend meeting you at the venue to discuss setup options as well as test your internet upload speed.
How long does the live streaming setup take before a function?
Video live streaming setup usually takes 2 hours before your event.
Can you supply me with the raw footage of the cameras as well?
Yes we can. Depending on the length of the live stream, we can usually copy the live stream video and audio from the cameras onto a USB stick on the day, or alternatively we can send the video footage to you using an online download link using Google Drive.
Do you put in any branding on the private link web pages?
We do not put any banding on the private web pages. You can however send us text, details or pictures to add to the live stream video web page.
Can I see a demo of a live streaming video link?
Yes you can view a demo here.
How long will the live streaming web page remain active for?
Usually we keep them up for 1 year. You can however request to have it hosted for longer at a small cost.
Can we have our own domain name for our private link?
Yes you can select your own custom domain like johnwedskelly.co.za or jaco-and-tanya-wedding.co.za Kindly contact us for details and pricing.
How soon should we book our live video broadcasting service?
Usually as soon as you book your venue. This will allow us time to meet with you and work out setup options.
What internet connection do you rely on?
We supply our own Vodacom 4G internet connection.
Our venue has WiFi can you use this for the live video streaming?
The upload speed on most venues WiFi is not fast enough or consistent enough to handle video uploads for live streaming. We find that Vodacom offers great coverage and also very consistent upload speeds. We recommend having a site visit beforehand to test the Vodacom coverage.
What happens in the event of load shedding or power failures?
We can continue streaming until our laptop and camera batteries run out. It is usually a good idea to discuss this with your venue to make sure that they have a backup generator to assist in the event of power outages.
We are having an outside event, what will happen in the event of rain?
We are happy to setup and stream outdoors, however in the event of rain we may have to discontinue recording and streaming as our camera and laptop equipment is not waterproof. We are also sure you would not want to continue your event in the rain as well. A good idea will be to speak to your venue regarding and alternative option in the case of bad weather.
We are having an outdoor event, if the rain comes down, can you immediately move indoors?
Our setup time usually takes 2 hours, so unfortunately this is not an easy option. Best option would be to judge on the day and if there is a chance of rain, rather opt for an indoors venue.
Where do you get your sound from?
We usually connect to your DJ’s PA sound system. Should you not have a DJ, then we are also able to supply a wireless microphone and sound system which works perfectly with our live video streaming equipment.
What type of functions do you live stream?
We live stream weddings, corporate events, funerals and just about any function type.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover the Gauteng region. However, we also travel out of province depending where our clients would like to live stream from. Just as long as your venue has adequate Vodacom signal, we can assist.
We would like to have a large scale Zoom call for a conference?
Yes we can assist using wireless microphones and a static camera with a long range zoom.
Can you add our logo to the stream?
Yes we can. We will require you to send your logo in a high resolution PNG format with a transparent background.
Do you offer videography services as well?
Yes we do. You can view our videography packages as well as our wedding videography packages.
Can you live stream in 4K?
Unfortunately, due to internet connectivity issues in most areas, we are limited by upload speeds that can handle 4K, so we only stream in 1080 and 720.
Can you live broadcast an interview?
Yes we can.
Can you play a video before the live stream starts?
Yes we can. Please check with us for more info.
Can you live broadcast training videos?
Yes we can. We can switch between multiple screens for video broadcasts.
Are our streaming videos public for strangers to view?
We always live stream your videos as private or unlisted so that only the people you share the video link with will have access to the live stream. Should you prefer to have the video on public, then we can also enable public mode.
Do you travel out of South Africa?
At the moment we only cater for the South African market.
How reliable is video streaming?
Our video streaming equipment setup is very reliable. Our only limiting factors at the moment are load shedding and internet speed congestion which are out of our control. It is a good idea to check with your municipality if there will be any scheduled load shedding on the day. You can also check with your venue is they have a generator, and how quick they can get the generator running should the power go down.
Who owns the copyright to the videos?
Unlike other video streaming providers, we give you complete copyright to your videos. After all, these are your videos and you have paid for them.
What is your cancellation policy?
As an industry standard, once we book your function, we turn down all other bookings for that date. Should you like to cancel your booking, we charge a 50{2055fe3c1e2799073bf39d8e8f72a76aece7cb9ac2a3060677d6117918de8387} cancellation fee (50{2055fe3c1e2799073bf39d8e8f72a76aece7cb9ac2a3060677d6117918de8387} of the full amount). Should we arrive to setup on the day and you cancel the booking, then we charge a 100{2055fe3c1e2799073bf39d8e8f72a76aece7cb9ac2a3060677d6117918de8387} cancellation fee.
